Trash Pandas drop a couple of home games against Hopkins teams that ended up not being super close, losing 11-2 to the Americans and then 13-2 to the Grasshoppers.
Pandas actually led the Americans 1-0 after the first inning, with former Trash Panda Average Joe struggling to find the zone in the first inning, but a 4-run second inning put the Americans up for good. Average Joe & Knooty Booty each ended up with two dongs, and only aggressive base running that turned a single into a run by CP kept the game going the full six innings. Final score 11-2.
In their second game, Smallpox battled Wiffle Jesus on the mound, although it was pretty much all Grasshoppers from the get go, with 4 runs to start the game in the first. a CP Home run and Wiffle Jesus single to score Toonces closed the lead to 5-2 in the 3rd, but four more in the 4th from the ‘Hoppers chased WJ. Reroute came in to finish the game, which was put into mercy territory with a 4-run 5th.
Pandas join the rest of the league in a week off for the holiday, before coming back for a double-header week, with two against the Space Cowboys on July 10 and two more against the Lugnuts on July 13.
